All members when joining Nighthawk-Forums.com must submit a VALID email address to activate their account.

If a invalid / fake email address is used, you will not be able to register. Accounts without a valid email address will be deleted.

Bogus email accounts used will result in your account activation email never reaching you. I have been sending a lot of personal emails to members that have not activated their accounts, giving them these instructions. Some of my emails have been kicked back as undeliverable, which makes me believe a bogus or incorrect email address was entered when registering.

Again, please check your email after you register!

Registrations that have not been activated within 7 days will be deleted.

Once you register, an activation email will be sent to you. You will be provided a link to activate your account. Clicking this link should direct your web browser to the Forums and the log in window. If the link does not open in your browser when selected, copy the link, paste it in the address window of your browser and select enter.

Now sign in with the Username and Password you provided when registering.

Some email programs and email services including Comcast, Hotmail, AOL, MSN and Earthlink have been incorrectly sending new members activation emails directly to the Junk/Spam folder or deleting them entirely. The result is that unless the Junk/Spam folder is checked, you will think that your activation email never arrived.
Also, if your inbox is full you won't recieve your activation email.

UPDATE - Please do not use Hotmail or Yahoo email, as they are not delivering the activation emails to new members.

If you are having problems with one of the above services, it is my recommendation that you sign up for a free email account at Gmail (Google Mail).

Gmail

Check your Junk/Spam email folder. If you find your activation email there, mark the sender as "Not Junk/Spam" and then activate your account. This will be recorded by the free email service and should help future members from having their email filed incorrectly.

I recommend that members not use a free email service email unless that is the only account you have. Your ISP assigned email would be better, as email programs used will ask if something is Junk/Spam before filing it.

If you change your email address in your profile, activation of your account will again be necessary.

And be rest assured that we at Nighthawk-Forums.com value your privacy - your email addresses will NEVER be shared, sold or distributed.

You have my word on that.
