Just picked up an 82 GS 1000SZ first year Katana, she is far from a looker came with a key, title, 7030 on the clock and the believe it or not the dang thing starts and runs..getting a frame off.

Don't remember that one.  Are the bars stock?  How about the exhaust?  Is that motor a de-stroked GS1100 (the old "Bullet" motor)?
