Yep, the euro is doing great. Nice when you're buying on eBay. Communication shouldn't be a problem, most Dutch speak English quite well. They learn it in school starting at 6 years old and from TV. We have Dutch subtitles. Communication is the least of you problems.

Hi,

Did you go to the Dutch TT this year? A shame Rossi wasn't there. About 120.000 other people did show up.
Great weather, lost of fun, music, beer (illegal) fireworks and bonfires. Chainsaws were not allowed. Every year some trees got lost ;-).
Allready ordered the tickets for next year!

How much is a ticket (in the stands) for the Dutch TT round?

Hallo allemaal! Hi folks!

Ik heb me ook maar aangemeld gezien ik een 750sc uit 86 heb en op zoek ben naar onderhoudshandleidingen, EN ik vind het natuurlijk leuk om andere nighthawks te zien.

Thought i'd register since I own an '86 750sc and I'm searching for manuals plus enjoying other bikes' pics/projects.

I'll introduce myself and my other half ricky more in-depth later.

cheers

. ps you can call me Ed and i'm from Amsterdam.

Heej, nog een Nederlander, hallo Ed, welcome to the club!

I've never seen a '86 750sc, I didn't think they existed to be honest.

Would you mind posting some photo's, and do you know where your bike's from originally? Perhaps it's a good idea to introduce yourself and your bike in the 'Your Honda Nighthawk' thread.

Enjoy your bike and the forums anyway. The people here are extremely helpful so don't hesitate to ask them if you have any questions.

You are correct. They only made the 750s in '84 and '85.

Who was the member from The Netherlands that made a donation right before Christmas?

I am putting together a new membergroup that recognizes donators & I need to put that member into that group.

Thanks!

New member of the community.......

Hi, I'm Ronald (41 years young) and have been the owner of a 1982 CB650SC since '92. After buying another Hawk (Superhawk/VTR1000-Firestorm) the 650 got lost in a corner of the garage  shog

Now my wife decided to go riding again  biker_h4h1, so I pulled it out of it's corner and started to get it up and running. First 20 miles ride was yesterday, but there is some to be done to get it in a nice state (for now it's safe to ride). Hope to learn a lot of DIY tricks over here  thumb

Greetings,
Ronald

Hi hi, well... I've just got myself a Nighthawk. Had to fix the leaking oil filter, but I got it happily churning.

I'll post some pics soon.

Welkom  thumb

Looks pretty good from the picture, what's the millage on the bike?

Just out of curiosity, but why didn't you go for a CB Seven Fifty instead of a Nighthawk? Some folks on here are pretty jealous of our Euro version I've noticed.

If you like you could start a topic and introduce yourself and your bike in the 'Your Honda Nighthawk' forum as well, you'll probably meet more members that way since not everyone checks the Dutch section  winker

Well... That was more a matter of budget and ignorance (I wasn't aware of the differences between the European version and the American version when I bought it - and it doesn't really bog me - yet -;) ).  The bike just sold cheap, had 31,000 miles on the clock. The two things that are kind of 'mweah' are the damaged seat (you can see it in the picture, it's a bit torn) and the small damaged spots on fairings. I'm willing to do something about that in the next winter season.

Technically I've had no complaints, it's stable (as in it doesn't lean left or right); the engine starts right away (something my previous Kawa GPZ/EX-500 didn't do) and the engine performs good. The brakes appear to be soft, but I think I just experience it that way because the bike just dives forward more than I'm used to. I hope there are some mods just to stiffen up the front a bit - but on the other hand, with no ABS it's probably a good thing the brakes appear to be soft :).
