A great day out of San Diego through the desert, out to the Mud Volcanoes just South East of the Salton Sea.

Then north to Mecca and around the West through Borrego, up through Julian and down through the Cuyamaca's home.

A tad over 300 miles - 6 hours in the saddle and a 9 hour day.

Black Beauty did great!

Next trip will be about a 500 miler...

Wow, that sucks. Good luck with those options. Maybe a bike with a cushier seat?

Been thinking about it for a few weeks... I ride the heck out of it as possible until I either sell it or retire it... =)

Cool. You know, if your back problems are in the lower back area, something like a sport tourer with a slightly leaned forward sportier stance may actually help alleviate the pain. Sounds crazy but there are a couple of guys on other forums that I've read where going from a standard or cruiser to a s.t. helped a lot. Something like a Yamaha FJ/FJR, Honda ST, Suzuki Bandit 1200S, or Triumph Sprint ST may be just what the doctor ordered...just try to keep it under 130mph  winker

Well - No luck on any front.

I've tried six different layouts from extreme sportsbike to cruiser with backrest - I'm doomed... I'll have to sell my baby...   Cry
