Was driving to Nashville yesterday to pick up my wife at the airport and saw this. Got a pic on my cell phone without causing a massive pileup. At first I thought it was a 250, but as I got closer, I could see 4 pipes. Seems like a lot of weight to be hanging on the back.  |

Run of the mill routine nothing. That CB is the equivalent of hanging a mountain bicycle on the back of your SUV.
Did you get a closer look at the mounting hardware? It's hard to tell from your picture however it sort of looks like one of the heavier duty haulers or lift units. IIRC the low end rvlift unit (two class 3 receivers on the back) is good for 1000lbs and one I was drooling over a while back was good for 1800lbs.
There's at least one guy driving around with a 5th wheel carrying two hardley ables on the back and he's no where near the lift or trailer load limits.
I'm considering something similar to carry a R1200GSA and propane tank on the back of the motorhome. 1000lbs.

Nah, we were doing about 75 so it was all I could do to get a pic of it without making the evening news |

Our 2008 Cougar has a slide out rear end that will hole 500 lbs I think. It slides out the 2
frame rails, C-Chanel. I'm sure that dude did a little mod work is all. My bro and did did the same, cool ass set up. even at 500 lbs I'd Huck the 2 mopeds up if we did camping on the road any more. Have a lot now..
