Anybody have an automotive part number for this seal? honda wants over 30 bucks for this, I have found a few on line for $16 then they add $12+  shipping. I used to buy wheel seals for class 5 heavy trucks that are 6" in diamiter for $12.

No I've not. But you need to make sure that if you do fine one that it will withstand the higher RPM's of a bike.. Tha's a lot of wear and heat on a seal.. And the tension of the spring that seals it can also cause excessive wear on the camshaft if too tight. hate to say it, but I'd buy the Honda part.

I stopped at a honda dealer several weeks ago and the parts guy gave me the dimentions and told me I'd save $20 if I went to a bearing and seal shop but I lost the paper. If there is a cross over number for a wheel seal for a car it may even be heaver duty that the motorcycle part, but they are just genaric parts and part numbered by dimention.
