Got in a late afternoon ride today.  After a full day of sun and temps in the 60's  it clouded up as we left about 3:30.  Our only must see was the Lake Wright Patman Dam.  Here is the intake tower and controls for the floodgates.

We went about 20" over our avg. rainfall in '09 and the floodgates have been wide open since October.

One more view of our bikes resting lakeside.

We left the lake and just rode easy on some backroads.  A relaxing ride of near 100 miles.  Hope everybody gets some decent riding weather soon.

Thanks Lucky.

Question is, do ride reports during the winter help those of you snow bound? Or does it just rub it in?

Lindy, 20" over normal, that is a lot! We received 1.5" here in Las Vegas last
year and we came up short of the average of about 3" per year. The next
three days it is supposed to rain and we should get 2" in those three days,
we will see if the weatherman is right.

Nice pictures Lindy and to those riders holed up, Las Vegas has motorcycle rentals
available, just saying.

That looks like a damn nice place to catch some catfish with a shore lunch to follow.

Absolutely right.  Just drop a line and pack your freezer(or fry 'em right away).

1.5" for a year.  I hope the 2" LV might get the next few days is not the total for 2010.  We complain about the abundance of rain here but I'm sure Nevada could use some.
