It was a great ride! Sponsored by pain pills!  bugey

Left my place in Alpine and met my buddy Jim at Packards in Ramona.

Then:

HWY 67 to Santa Ysabel
HWY 79 to S2 (San Felipe)
S22 through Ranchita and down to Borrego

Lunch at Jilberto's - MMMmmmmm...

Then:

S3 out of Borrego to HWY 78 (finally stopped after all these years to check out all the cool metal art)
Took Wynola around the back of Julian and back on 78

We spilt at Dudley's (HWY 78/HWY 79) - Jim had to get home, I ran down to the Mountain Man Rendezvous off Mesa Grande and HWY 79 and hung out for awhile (I'm and old Flintlock and percussion shooter).

Then I headed back up to Julian and down 79 through Cuyamaca Lake to HWY 8 and home to Alpine.

Getting all settled in on the Wee-Hawk and looking forward to Alaska in 2011! On pain pills!  bugey

Looks like fun.  My son and I have always been facinated by Dinosaurs.

Sounds like you are re-thinking selling your bike.  Hope you are able to enjoy it a bit longer without so much pain.  What about extending your legs with highway peds to take some pressure off your back?

Great pics.  Like the one where it looks like the raptor is going to land on your 'hawk.  I guess you're keeping your bike. biker_h4h1

Going to try and keep it - Though my brother is baby-sitting it for awhile - I'll be having surgery again soon.

I do have the stainless crash bars with pegs on them, so that does help.

So does Vicodin...  naughty

Hey Warren, nice ride report.
Be careful with those Vicodin, nasty drug that is pretty addictive - both physically and mentally.
How does it affect your motor skills when it comes to riding?
I am very careful to stay off my bike if I am not 100% clear as a bird.
I hope you can overcome your pain and keep up the riding.  ricky

I actually only take 1/2  a pill every 4ish hours. The back still nags - But gets rid of the sharp pain. The small dosage doesn't give me any foggy feeling at all.

I've been using it since my first surgery in 1991 - I only take it 4-5x a month, and usually so I can ride.   smiler
