That is Deadly's post from awhile back. Those are Suzuki V-Strom handguards that he modified to fit his bike. There are some threads on this forum covering them, probably in the handlebars section.

Suzuki DL-1000 aka V-Strom.
http://nighthawk-forums.com/index.php/topic,97.msg638/
I added a set of DL-1000 hand guards...
The same handguards work very well on the 700.

More than a few of us have put on handguards... Off the top of my head, I know that myself, Deadly and Sobek (Sobziad) have.  Deadly actually had my handguards installed originally I do believe, but switched the the V-Strom guards for whatever reason, probably structural rigidity.

I was hoping for NH's with them and close ups on how they were installed. I'll swing by the shop today and see what they cost. I'd like to have some kinda wind break for cold season riding. Hell I rode the bike in today, in JANUARY  ricky whoda thought.

This winter is none I've seen here in 4 decades...

The same handguards work very well on the 700.
The red text is a link to pics, thread.  Hondo has some thread on handguards (KLR?), and there's some dirtbike ones on here somewhere too.
I already linked to the best thing I found.
