Swing Arm End Caps are marked "UP" because, if you will remove and inspect it, there is a notch cut out in the bottom to let water drain.By leaving them in upside down, the moisture can't get out and will corrode the inside of the swing arm.  By the time you notice this on the outside, it will be too late, if you're not in the ditch somewhere anyway.  Believe me, they would not cast them with the "UP" marking if they didn't have to.

I got mirror risers from http://luckybike.com/index.php for my 650. He sells on EBay also.
Almost everything you've done to your NH I plan to do (or have already done) this year to my Bonneville.
I've got a centerstand but haven't tackled installation yet.
Added spacers instead of risers (wish they gave me more also).

Sending the seat out to FL be re-worked next month.
Plan to add frame sliders instead of engine bars. Did anyone ever make those for NHs?
Still debating which shocks to go with. Did the Progressives help with comfort as well as handling?
After the fork brace thread I would like one but the above pretty much blows the budget for this year.  Sad

Hey Burgi, that new Bonni have crap shocks ?? I've decided to hold off on the fork brace idea as I am very pleased with the suspension up grades I did.

Dang, I should flip it then. Any down side to loosening those tensioner nuts enough to rotate the cap and then tightening them up again.

Sounds like I should flip it then. Probably time to take up some of the slack in my chain anyway.

They aren't great but I am holding off til I get the seat work done and see what sort of improvement that brings. I KNOW the seat is bad. I'm considering a suspension upgrade more if it brings me comfort than for performance. Pretty much everyone else I ride with has a cruiser, I don't need any performance upgrades to keep up with them.  ImaPoser

Comfort-wise I haven't noticed a difference in the shocks.
