Welcome windrider - by "show" your bike, did you mean to include pictures?  I don't see any.

I really like the look of that fairing... does it provide much wind protection?

Yes, it is a Maier fairing.  Got it from J C Whitney, as they were the cheapest at the time.  I always liked the look of a cafe racer, and this comes close.  Can't tell anything about wind protection since it has been too cold to ride since I put it on, and we are just now getting rid of the snow.  The top of the fairing is about as high as my armpits, so I hope it knocks some wind off my chest at highway speeds.  I'll keep you posted after I get to ride.

I've been wondering about the following for a long time... Can cams from a CB900 be installed in a late model CB750 nighthawk?  Seems like jets, a 4 into 1, and big (900) cams would really bring my 750 to life.

Thanks for all the response.  I , too, had been wondering what the fairing would like, but couldn't find any pictures of one, so I finally bit the bullet and did it.  Suits me just fine as for looks, hoping to ride tomorrow and see what it does.  I live off of Fraternity, on the west side of Winston, not far from Peacehaven.  Yes, the bike has the a modified Tim Hodge muffler mod, and washers under the carb needles.  Didn't go all out, still get 50 miles per gallon at 55~60 mph.  Will still do 0 to 60 in a short 3 seconds, and push 110 with no problem.  Hope the fairing or the bags doesn't hurt any of this.  Thanks again for your comments.  To those going to the Dragon in May, have a great times, and ride the area.  We went last August and had a blast.  Would like to make the trip in May because it is very near our 31st wedding anniversary, May 20.  I am blest with a great wife that rides her own bike, a Yamaha 650 V Star.

For those that want to know, took the bike out today, 58~60 degrees.  I am very pleased with the fairing.  I took a 3~4 mile ride down the interstate at 70 mph.  The fairing took most of the wind off my chest so I didn't feel like a parachute anymore.  The wind seemed to hit about my neck, as I think there was a little extra buffeting just under my helmet.  This was not uncomfortable on a short ride with a HJC full face helmet, and may even be a blessing this summer when temps are up as it will force a little more air through my helmet.  Going to ride again tomorrow, temp forecast 63.  Next is to check out the bags

Windrider, feel free to send me a message if you ever want to go for a ride around winston or the surrounding areas.  I ride all over the state, but most of my day trips take me up towards pilot mountain, hanging or blowing rock, and on to the Virginia mountains and back.

 welcome  windrider,

Was that Pipe mod a pain or did the baffles come out easy ?? I have yet to do this, did the washers.

What kind of grips you have, they look good. I've been wanting to replace the stockers with a tad fatter and softer. Good looking NH..

Looks almost identical to my 2002 I used to ride.

The fairing came with mine, and at first I thought it was the first thing coming off. But the look grew on me, and I thought it gave the bike a 700S look to it.

Wind protection is next to nothing though. If anything, it directed air right up my helmet. It'll blow a 3/4 right off your head.
