my 1973 yamaha tx650 and my 1980 vespa p200e

the vespa is my daily ride and this is her winter getup. Take the wall down for the other 3 seasons of riding. funny without it I can top at around 65mph but with it no more than 45mph. but I am much warmer and allows me to ride pretty much all winter

That vespa is awesome.  I had a neighbor with a very similar white one - she babied that thing like you wouldn't believe.

I like the Yamaha, is that original or did you restore her?

OH the good old P200's. Love those scooters. I have had a few over the years. The windscreen is massive. You could build a card house in your lap with that thing.

thumb thumb  Me too.  Looks to be in great shape for a bike that's 37 yrs. old.

I used to ride and wrench a 70s Yammie 650 twin back in the old days, but it was an XS650.  Looked a lot like that one.  Wonder what the difference is.

my yamaha is an xs650 just the pre-xs. if you look at the lineage it was xs1, xs1-a, xs-b, tx for 3 years , then xs till it ended in 1983. with various letters through g

thanks for the comments she is a good looking bike. but currently down for repair. I have to do rings and maybe valves to for my left cylinder.
funny thing is she starts and will run on a single cylinder with no motor noise.  way over engineered engine. but, that's good I suppose.

Cheers

I really like that sort of vintage styling.. I hope the japs would add a retro bikez to their line up.. Ducati's got the gt1000, triumph the bonneville and now the new commander by norton... i'm just really tired of the Harley look a like bikez. Why copy harley? japs aesthetics  are nicer and they're more reliable bikez anyway..  musicboohoo
