Hi all.
I'm a new rider from Vancouver Island, BC Canada excited to get out on my first bike. 1983 Nighthawk 650. This bike was bought by my father 3 years ago from a guy down the street. It was garage kept for 20 years and regardless of its Km's it had a tune up every season. As far as I know everything is original and it has never been laid down. I had it shipped from his place in Nova Scotia to Victoria via crate. I just got finished putting it back together, all except for the Honda backrest which I'm leaving off for now.
Just got my learners license and will be taking a MSF in two weeks... Just in time for the warm weather to start (although I think every other bike on the island was out yesterday)

Welcome to the club, she's a real nice looking bike. I don't believe the seat is stock - that stitch pattern looks a little different. Also, is that some sort of front fender extender and a front fork brace your sporting?

That is the way the 1983-85 650's came... fork brace (basically stamped sheet metal) and fender with little rock shield thingy on the back. She looks totally stock to me, identical to mine when I purchased it. Welcome aboard new guy! |
