1983 550 nighthawk backrest / sissybar anyone know how to locate one or where to find after market ? my son would like me to pick him up from school but i don't feel comfortable without something for him to lean on.

I've got an aftermarket lugggage rack that you could attach a trunk with backrest too. 

You'd have to mount it to your bike using your own brackets (two u-shaped brackets, some bolts and a fender washer).  It was originally designed for the larger displacement CB's, like the 900 and 1100C.
