Yea they are a bit pricey, but for $35 each they are worth not having to rig something up.

If you are talking about just the stem then apparently you didn't pay much attention to the rest of this thread.

Sorry munkey, I have been following along, I guess I should of stated that this is what I was doing, for me it's worth the price to have the oem's.

By the way, I just ordered the stays, #10 and #11.

Sorry for any confusion.

Ok I may need some help from someone who has ordered from TAS with success.  I ordered over 50 days ago and haven't seen so much as a tracking number, even after many calls and emails.  I will NOT spend $30+ apiece for stalks for two bikes.

Anyone want to help me out and be the middle middle man?  I just want to order through someone who has received their stuff without any issue, and I'm willing to compensate you for your trouble.  It's worth it to me to save less but still actually GET the stalks.

PM me if you're interested in helping a brother out!

That's not good. I was hoping to buy a set of these. Had other stuff come up and just hadn't gotten around to doing it yet.

What happens when you call them?

Well back when I ordered I had gone on vacation, and I had expected them to be there when I got home.  Not there.  Ok, no big deal, probably be here in the next couple days (USPS).  A week goes by and nothing.  I email and mathew is very nice.  'not sure' he says 'wait a few more days and see if they don't show up'.  So another week goes by and nothing.  I call and he is very nice again... 'let me call my guy at the USPS and see if I cant find out the deal'. A couple days and nothing from mathew, so I call back, and he tries the USPS guy again.  Guy says they are on their way BACK to TAS, so mathew says they will send more stalks.  Another week and a half and nothing.  It's been a month and I am still at a standstill with my signal project.  I call mathew kinda pissed, and he says he will have Dixie drop ship to my house via ups since USPS doesn't seem to be getting the job done.  Ok, last chance here.  Two weeks later and no stalks, no tracking number, and no more excuses.  I hear nothing. My time to dispute is almost up so i begin the process and of course mathew is nice via paypal dispute communication, but STILL no tracking number and no stalks.  I am SEVERELY ticked that I cannot get a straight answer.  NOBODY has this much trouble getting something shipped!

Do I think I am being scammed for the whopping $28 for the stalks?  Doubt it, I'd be much more likely to think someone would scam for way more than a measly thirty bucks.  What really frosts me is that #1 I have no stalks that I need, and have paid for nearly TWO months ago, and #2 for a specialty company customer service had better be spot on.  I have got nothin but hazy answers and lame excuses in sporadic communication.  I know they aren't making a ton of dough on these but I expect honesty when dealing with a word of mouth customer like this.  I hope this doesnt happen to all their customers!  At least be honest if its going to take awhile, that I can deal with, but I've been watching the front porch like a hawk for 4 weeks. like a hawk!  I'm tired of disappointment and the inability to finish my project.

Like I said I can't see anyone bothering to scam for $5 items, but I think the communication/customer service is SEVERELY lacking in my experience.  I just need two darne sets of signal stalks!

I'm sure dixie sells to more people than just tas motorsports , try this .

http://www.dixieinternational.com/dealer_locator.php

though their dealer search only seems to search by area code and only one area code at a time so you may just want to contact dixie and see whats up . Be sure to post what you find out .

i still haven't heard word 1 from TAS.  i will be contacting dixie next week to see about another dealer.  i am really disappointed that after two months, i have nothing to show.  i have to say that though TAS did offer to refund my money in previous communication, i made it clear that i wanted the stalks more than i wanted a refund.  spotty communication, continued excuses, and no results.

in my opinion, their cusomer service is piss-poor.

in this situation - a little honesty would go a long way.  if they don't have them (or are on backorder), i don't mind.  just don't tell me 'they're on their way' and then make me wait two months plus.  that's just one theory.

i made it perfectly clear that i'd waited long enough.  if you can't deliver issue a refund.  if it's going to take awhile, say so!  you can be as pleasant on the phone and on email as you like, if you don't deliver it won't matter!

I know your really looking for aftermarkets and trying to save a few bucks, I ordered my factory ones, came in within a week from ordering, no problems, they have been installed for weeks now and look great. Sometimes the money you save is not worth the agg. JMO

Save a FEW bucks?  Bike Bandit shows them at $42.31 a piece as opposed to $16 for the pair from TAS. That's more than saving a few bucks.

I agree, $42 and $16 big difference, but still no parts from Tas, How long has it been? Still not worth the agg in my opinion. And how will the quality compare to oem parts? You do get what you pay for. Mine were $36 each.

would the stays for the 83 nighthawk fit? they have a bikemaster aftermarket replacement for like $8.95 or 7.95 depending on front or rear.  looking at the fiche it looks like maybe the front would work for both on the cb700

TAS is just the middle man , dixie parts has to supply a more reliable dealer somewhere , they just have a horrible dealer location search . I'm sure a quick call to them would get you a list of some larger name distributors which would do a better job of getting them to you quickly ....I'd do it but I don't need stems anymore  burnout

The Dixie website does not show a dealer anywhere close to me.  I did get a email address for Rice Paddy Motorcycles in Columbus OH. I sent them an email asking if they could supply them, what the cost would be, and if they are willing to ship them. Seeing that they are in the same city as Dixie, maybe they can be better at supplying them. We'll see if I get an answer.

Also sent an email to Dixie asking if they can give me contact info for a reliable supplier.

Email to Rice Paddy bounced. Says "mailbox quote exceeded".

So much for them being reliable.

TAS issued a refund today.  i didn't get any message from the customer service rep Mathew, just a refund.  pretty ridiculous just how BAD the customer service is.

sad, as all it would have taken was a bit of actual info (where/when the parts were coming) and i would have been happy.  oh well, i guess i'll have to find somewhere else to get them.

i emailed dixie as well asking where to buy, and ratted out TAS for their sub-par customer service.

I gotta agree with HockeyHawk on this one.  I know the price difference is more than just a few dollars, but the aggravation/effort level seems exponentially higher to track down the aftermarkets.  My time and attention are worth something too.

I walked into a Honda dealer here in Metro Atlanta on Monday, paid $36 +tax X2 for two rear stalks.  They called yesterday, they are in.  I'll pick them up today on my way home from work.

The parts counter guy mentioned "They have about 20 units sitting on the shelf in the warehouse".  I think that just refers to the warehouse in GA that he gets parts from, there may be some in other warehouses.

sorry, but $52 shipped for four (price i was quoted today) beats $140 without shipping (price from bikebandit for Honda parts).  i will deal with some aggravation for that extra 100 bucks.  especially when my bikes are still rideable.

i have been emailing a guy in ohio at cycles r us, who gave me a price of $11 each without shipping for four of the the dixie international 20-2306.

now, i have to source some rear stalks so i can be done with this deal once and for all.

until they break again.

Bumping this back up.  Has anyone actually been able to get their hands on a pair of these aftermarket turn signal stalks, specifically the rears?  I already spent my money at the dealer, but I'm curious to see if anyone gets these cheaper aftermarket stalks, or are they just vaporware.  If they don't really exist, then I don't feel quite so silly having spent big dollars at the dealer.

Got the stalks tonight, I can't wait to install!

One hitch - that part number in the picture is for the left side only!!!

Sooo now I have four brand new front left side blinker holders for two bikes.  Uggghhhhhhhhhh
