Hey everyone,

I'm a new NH700sc owner and to make a long story short, I bought this bike from a family that had their son pass away from a stroke and wanted to get rid of the bike because it reminded them too much of their loss. The bike was sitting for 1 year before I bought it for $800. I believe I came up pretty good, I put $200 for a gear box linkage repair, $200 for carb adjustments/ electrical repair and bleeding brakes and clutch. And as for insurance, I paid only $180 for the whole year. So all in all, I spent less then $1800 for my bike bringing it up and running. This is my first bike and I have learned alot of it since the day I bought it and unfortunately, I already laid it down when I got fixated on a turn and went into the run off and low sided the bike. I was wearing all my gear and learned early about how all your gear on can save you. I broke the front fairing but got a new one online and duck taped it with black duck tap in fears of it breaking again. Super Ghetto, but heck, its my first bike...I don't really care what other people think. I so far get alot of questions and compliments from other biker's cause the bike is rare. Anyways, enjoy the pictures......I will post a video soon

Nice find. Welcome to the forum.

You should have come here first though, we could have walked you through those repairs and saved you a bunch of money.

Thanks for the comments folks. I'm not new to the whole researching and studying cause I've had been into cars and trucks for a while. I have a Nissan TITAN  4x4 and the forums always help me get an edge on taking care of recalls and some cheap free mods, mod advice, and issues. I also had a DSM Plymouth Laser RS turbo. DSM's are great cars but hell, once you start adding that bigger turbo or those new cam's, your asking for your wallet to be left at the shop and requesting pay day advances. I was planning to spend $1500 for a bike anyways, and that wasn't including the gear and insurance. So when I got everything for under $1800, I counted it as a deal. Its my first bike anyways and I will move on but what a great bike to have ;) Lots of heritage lies in the Nighthawks....
