I live up in the Nashville area and have been thinking about going down the Natchez Trace the other direction.
Maybe we could meet up halfway sometime.
Where did you go after you got to Nashville?

Nice pics!

Even though my Givis cost me an arm and a leg...  well, a Ford Focus to be exact, they have been worth every penny to me.

Hope you have fun dude I rode the natchez trace a couple weeks ago only went to Jackson Ms, but it was night time so not much to see. Seems like a nice long weekend trip though. Stay dry.

Great trip. Shame about the rain in NC. I've done some hiking and driving in the Cradle of Forestry area. (shining rock wilderness)  Great place.

More like stupid, it was one of those nights I had alot on my mind so I decided to go for a ride wasn't really paying attention where I was going I was just going. I left at 8pm ended up riding a total of 450 miles and got home around 5am Ifinally cleared my head and realized I was in Jackson Ms. It was over all a good ride.

Umbrellas are often over looked when packing for a motorcycle trip. Never leave home without it. Best when your pulled over in the rain and need to get into the top box, or light a smoke, or eat some lunch, or do just about anything. Your gear keeps the rain of off you when moving but the umbrella is invaluable in providing shelter for the things you do off the bike.

Stop at a drug store and grab one of those tinny umbrellas.

Great trip so far.

Can't wait for you to get back. We need our cave tour guide.

Nice.
You're motivating me to bump up the schedule a bit to go east. It's beautiful country.

Oh. For the thread title and your annual trip, you need to make a trip to Dodge City to get this patch:

Bumble - let us easterners know if you are in the neighborhood.

Neighborhood? We better use your definition, not mine. I consider close by and not far to travel as being just two states away - and that's using the big square states out west for as a measuring scale.  deal

I'm going to all the national parks that are anywhere near my path of travel for a photographic series I'm working on (ex: Great Smoky Mountains NP) so Deals Gap is on the list for certain. It's possible I could be riding that road during the nighthawk get together there.

We could even make it a fun game...  ricky

Did the final math,,,2130 miles this trip, not my usual 4400 or 3700,but still nice to get away.
53.??was my final mpg.
I'm gonna head out west  as soon as it cools off.
P.S.,the umbrella is now on board.
