You better bring a stick along to beat away the babes. Don't let your wife see you in that get-up, she will never let you leave the house... ImaPoser

Don't worry Fish, she has no problem letting me leave the house, usually closing the door behind me.  poke

I close mine in "cooler" (all things being relative  happy1 ) weather. It is easy to open and close them on the fly so I never thought about it much.

Same thing I do, mine stays open mostly since I wear glasses (don't know why, they are for reading)

When the bugs come out or the trucks are throwing gravel or over 80mph I flip it shut.

I like the forced air induction into my lungs otherwise.  shog

We are still talking about the ventilation holes, not the visor, correct?

Yep, I follow BumbleBee's method to a tee.  thumb

As for the visor, I usually keep it cracked open one or two notches during summer months (so I look through it and the windshield, but get additional airflow).  I'll also crack open the visor one notch as soon as I come to a stop light in the winter (to prevent heavy visor fogging) and lock it down just as the light gets ready to turn green.

I close mine in winter cold (under 40).  No fogging while moving.

Ditto. Mine get closed when its really cold out...like around the freezing mark. Chin curtains help with the cold too.

Okay, so I've learned that fogging is a greater issue for us four-eyes, and a lesser issue in drier climates.
I guess I do close the top vents when air temperature becomes extreme.
I think I need a new Blue top to match the 85.
I just slapped a strip of blue electric tape across the top of my visor.  The intent was to block a bit more sun, but it does a nice job of color coordination too.

To help with fogging, I use something that is common in the hockey world...Hockey Visor Anti Fog:

I apply it to my helmet visor the same way I apply it to my hockey helmet visor...just spray it on (both sides) and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. It keeps the fogging to a minimum. I generally re-apply every month or so.

I'll close mine when I start seeing igloos on the side of the road.  My visor is always fogging up so I tend to leave it one thumb open besides for highway speeds, then it closes on it's own anyways.

I know there are a lot of you buying helmets online.  Does the measurement table work out perfectly?  I mean, if it says you need a large, what are the chances you get it and it doesn't fit right?  I need a new one, mine is nearing 20 year old now, can't barely see out of the visor and the padding is so thin the helmet is loose on me now.

Helmets are a personal fit beyond general sizing. They have to fit and be secure which IMNSHO can't be selected by a generic chart. Even different styles by the same manufacturer can fit completely differently. I've put on a large that was tight, a small which was loose, and a medium that felt like a shop vice with an ice pick in my temple - go figure.
I typically go into local shops and find a helmet that fits properly, then walk out the door and order it online. (I still haven't sorted out the ethics behind that however the stores often are much higher priced and don't like solid screaming yellow without a several week delivery time. OTOH Newenough tends to deliver exactly what I want for less $$ and it it's here very shortly after I get my finger off the submit-order button)
